What is the edge of MHSS over other Science high schools?

Malayan High School of Science is a privately owned science high school. The school is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that enable students to appreciate scientific studies not just on the theoretical level. With these facilities, the students are also able to apply what they have learned inside the classroom. MHSS is also one of the few schools in the country that offers Robotics as a subject. This is in line with the school’s goal to provide varied fields of interests in its curriculum.

I’ve heard that the school is a bullying-free environment. Is this true?

The school is very particular about the issue of bullying, and does not tolerate any form of it. The school implements a very strict regulation on bullying and does not hesitate to impose sanctions on offending students

Does the school have available scholarships for students?

The school offers Academic Scholarships to students who meet certain criteria.

For students graduating valedictorian from a school with more than 120 students, they will enjoy full scholarship (free tuition) upon enrollment in the first year level. Students must maintain the assigned WGA to retain their scholarship.

For students graduating salutatorian from a school with more than 120 students, they will enjoy partial scholarship (50% discount on tuition) upon enrollment in the first year level. Students must maintain the assigned WGA to retain their scholarship.

It also offers sport scholarships as the school is an active participant in the NCAA.

Where is the school located?

MHSS is located at 8013 Paz M. Guanzon Street, Pandacan, Manila, Philippines. The school is in front of the bottling plant of Coca-Cola in Pandacan, beside Ford branch in Manila. It is only a few meters away from Robinson’s Otis.

How is Malayan High School of Science connected to Mapúa Institute of Technology?

Malayan High School of Science is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mapúa Institute of Technology. It was built to succeed Mapúa’s pre-engineering high school to complement the expansion of the Institute’s academic offerings in science and technology and other fields.
