As a way of promoting academic excellence, Malayan High School of Science offers the following scholarships to students who meet certain criteria.
The top twenty (20) incoming Grade 7 students with the highest General Weighted Average (GWA) will take a qualifying examination for the E.T. Yuchengco Scholarship. The top three (3) examinees will receive the E.T. Yuchengco Scholarship and enjoy the following:
Qualification for and availing of this scholarship shall exclude any further availing of other scholarships or financial incentives provided by the school.
Rank 1 from grade schools with at least 120 graduates shall enjoy full scholarship (100% tuition fee discount) upon enrollment in the Grade 7 level. He must get a weighted grade average (WGA) of at least 94 and a final grade of at least 93 in Mathematics, Science, and English subjects to continuously enjoy the privilege.
Rank 2 from grade schools with at least 120 graduates shall enjoy partial scholarship (50% discount on tuition fee) upon enrollment in the Grade 7 level. He must get a WGA of at least 92 and a final grade of at least 90 in Mathematics, Science, and English subjects to continuously enjoy the privilege.
A student who ranks first in the batch may be granted a waiver of the full tuition fee for the succeeding year provided he obtains a WGA of at least 94 and a final grade of at least 93 in Mathematics, Science, and English.
A student who ranks second in the batch may be granted a 50% tuition fee discount for the succeeding year provided he obtains a WGA of at least 92 and a final grade of at least 90 in Mathematics, Science, and English.
Scholarships are given to athletes eligible for the National Collegiate Athletic Association games.
A student who has at least one parent who is an employee of any company recognized to be a Yuchengco Group of Companies member shall get a 20% matriculation discount. An additional 10% discount shall be given if the student belongs to the top 10% of a graduating class with at least 100 graduates.
For siblings simultaneously enrolled at MHSS, a 10% discount on tuition fee shall be given to the second child.
Beginning SY 2018-2019, ESC tuition subsidy will be available to incoming Grade 7 students.
MHSS parents and currently enrolled students will be given 5% tuition fee discount (excluding laboratory and miscellaneous fees) for every student they will successfully encourage to enroll at MHSS. The maximum tuition fee discount that they can have is 20%. This discount will be deducted from their down payment and not convertible to cash.
Five percent (5%) tuition fee discount (excluding laboratory and miscellaneous fees) will be given to the first ten (10) new enrollees (freshmen and transferees) starting September. This discount will be deducted from their down payment and not convertible to cash.
A promotional discount is given to eligible direct family members of a Mapúa University alumnus.
Junior High School completers of MHSS, who studied from Grades 7 to 10, will enjoy a twenty-five percent (25%) discount on tuition fee and laboratory fees (excluding miscellaneous fees) for Grades 11 and 12 should they decide to enroll at Mapúa University for Senior High School. This discount will be deducted from their down payment and not convertible to cash.
